“T’was a Neubie® Session Before Christmas”

Dec 21, 2021

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro’ the clinic,

Not a team member was stirring, not even a PT;

The stockings were hung by the front desk with care,

In hopes that just one more patient soon would be there;

The Neubie® devices were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of their next charge danced in their heads,

And Briana in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,

Had just settled our brains for a quick nap-

When out on the parking lot there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from patient room #1 to see what was the matter!

Away to the window I flew like a direct current flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow,

Gave the luster of mid-day to the cars below;

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But an Amazon delivery van, and nine tiny rein-deer,

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

More rapid than Amazon Prime® his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and call’d them by name:

“Now! Leigh, now! Kara, now! Ramona, and Earnie,

“On! Clay, on! Ruby, on! Laura, Anasazi, and Ami;

“To the top of the clinic! to the top of the wall!

“Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”

Just as patients after a NeuFit® session can fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, charged up even after a first try;

So up to the clinic-top the coursers they flew,

With the sleigh full of The NeuFit Method, – and St. Nicholas too:

And then in a twinkling, I heard on the clinic roof

The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.

As I drew in my head, and was turning around,

Down the clinic hall, St. Nicholas came with a bound:

He was dress’d all in (faux) fur, from his head to his toes,

His movement was strong, it sure wasn’t a pose;

A bundle of books was flung on his back,

And he look’d like a hiker just opening his pack:

His eyes – how they twinkled! his dimples how merry,

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry;

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth (don’t smoke Santa!)

And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath. (time for a session!)

He had a broad face, and a little round belly

That shook when he laugh’d, like a bowl full of jelly:

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

And I laugh’d when I saw him in spite of myself;

A wink and a twist of his head made quite an impression,

And soon gave me to know he was here for his Neubie session,

He spoke not a word, but simply turned up the power,

And did all his reps, then took a quick shower,

And laying his finger aside of his nose

And giving a nod, down the hall he went

He sprung to his van, (I mean talk about ‘neuromuscular reeducation’),

And away they all flew, propelled as if by some kind of electrical stimulation,

But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight-

Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

With apologies and respect to Clement Clarke (CC) Moore, we want to wish you and your family a very happy holiday season!
